The healing process after a break up is never easy, especially for someone like me who is a hopeless romantic. They say time mends all wounds, but as time passed from this one particular break up, I became more bitter. The more I tried to move on, the harder it became. Some days I felt angered while other days I simply felt numb. Being unable to move on from the situation frustrated me. On one of those days I felt numb, I said to a friend, “I haven’t just forgotten how she felt, I’ve forgotten how to feel.” Immediately, I had a “lightbulb moment” and began writing. Actually, after releasing my frustrations on paper, it was amazing how things started turning around for me. My overall mindset changed, I lost my bitterness, and a few nice things fell into place for me to happily move forward.
