about

Welcome everyone to the first episode of Walsh Wednesday: The Reflective Series! I am your host, Conor Walsh. You may know me from my YouTube series Walsh Wednesday, from my music, or possibly not at all.

My motto for the past seven years has been "I'd rather regret doing something than regret doing nothing at all." That motto has taken me out of my comfort zone, and has enabled me to strive towards my dreams and accomplish feats I may not had previously thought possible.

Walsh Wednesday started out as a monthly event that I did back in high school where I'd bring in my guitar and play music for people in the cafeterias. I would normally keep it upbeat and inspirational to help lighten the load of the stresses of classes and life. It later evolved into a little web series in freshman year of college where it became a platform for music and motivation. I have featured a number of artists from my college community on my “Concert Series” specials, and have included community and charity highlights to help shed light on important topics and causes. Then, during the earlier months of the pandemic, I did weekly live stream concerts for friends and family. I would assess the vibe of the week, along with taking recommendations, and would create various themes.

After taking a break, I want to return to more narrative/interview based episodes, along with turning it into a podcast. I want to sit down and talk with people in various job fields about how Covid has affected business, but also highlight the creativity and process people have been making, especially speaking with colleagues in the music and film industries, along with continuing to highlight charity organizations. Besides that, I really want to focus on the topic of mindfulness throughout. During this pandemic, I got to a point where I felt very lost and outside myself. It was a bit of an identity crisis of sorts, and I’ve been looking for positive outlets in order to learn, grow, and rebuild. As I'm finding my way back, I want to highlight and dedicate other episodes to topics that are important to me, such as loss/grieving, mental and physical health, mindfulness, and much more.

I'm ecstatic to bring this concept to life, and hopefully create a meaningful dialogue for all us to partake in! Please subscribe wherever you find this episode. New episodes will release each Wednesday, unless stated otherwise. I'm glad we get to Spend Some Time.
